Sweet Potato Casserole

This classic Sweet Potato Casserole with Marshmallows is a family favorite that combines creamy sweet potatoes with a crunchy pecan topping and gooey marshmallows. Perfect for holiday gatherings or any special occasion, this dish is sure to delight everyone at the table.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Topping:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, milk, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans to make the topping.
  5. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes, then remove from the oven.
  7. Sprinkle mini marshmallows evenly over the top.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving.
