At Mid-State, we are committed to providing a website that is both welcoming and accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and to adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.
What are we doing?
In order to meet our own expectations of an accessible website, we have used the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. as the ruler of our success. These guidelines explain how to make our website, and all of its content, accessible and user-friendly for all. There are three levels of accessibility (A, AA, AAA) and we have currently chosen to conform to level AA for the MDG website.
As an extra step, we have added the UserWay WordPress plugin to our website. We believe that this plugin will work to fill any accessibility gaps that our website might have.
How are we doing?
We have done our best to built our website to meet these guidelines and feel as those we have met our goal for level AA accessibility. We are regularly monitor the website to maintain this, but if you find any problems, please get in touch.
